My passion is leading businesses. I love getting big results by motivating teams to serve customers and deliver to shareholders. I thrive in highly dynamic, complex, demanding environments. It’s what I’ve done successfully as CEO & President GE Hydro, a $400 M stand-alone P&L, as well as at PE owned Landis+Gyr responsible for a SaaS business with $1.9 B back-log in the IoT smart metering industry. My foundation as a mechanical engineer from Princeton and a 20+ year GE veteran are reflected in my problem-solving skills, data focused approach and accountability for results. I am fascinated by the practical application of technology and how it can propel a business to major new plateaus. My smart metering role (Industrial - IoT) demanded that I acquire deep knowledge about networks, software & firmware development, a NOC, and cyber security. I've demonstrated a keen ability to sift through the noise and focus on what matters. Several years ago, I took two more big leaps: Entrepreneurship and a deep dive into Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning. I have immersed myself in AI, learning about the core capabilities, rate of progress and practical applications across enterprises. I was motivated by the opportunity to create a unique high performing, agile culture, from scratch while helping customers leapfrog their competition with new capabilities. As a life-long learner with insatiable curiosity and a bias for action, this journey equips me to be a unique and contemporary leader in a world moving ever faster because of technology. Going forward, my passion remains operating businesses – whether my own, or someone else’s.
