Since joining Polk County in 2015, he has managed large-scale public projects with a focus on sustainability and community engagement. His role includes overseeing technical project-management tasks, collaborating with civil engineers, landscape architects, and internal teams, and ensuring projects meet local, state, and federal standards. Tracy’s expertise extends to both the macro and micro levels, having authored the Polk County Parks, Recreation, and Preserves Master Plan and led significant updates to the Parks and Open Space Element of Polk County's Comprehensive Plan.Tracy brings a wealth of experience in GIS, planning, and project design, with notable proficiency in producing detailed maps and diagrams for park planning, as well as creating construction documents for county projects. His background includes a successful tenure as a grant writer and administrator, demonstrating his capability to secure essential funding for public initiatives.Before Polk County, Tracy held various roles in urban planning and community-focused initiatives. In Sarasota County, he managed coastal construction projects and contributed to tourism marketing analysis for park properties. During his tenure as Principal Planner with Jessakid Consulting, Tracy worked on asset-based neighborhood revitalization for Flint, Michigan, as part of the White House Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative.Tracy’s professional history also spans private consulting, where he developed community plans, provided urban planning services, and managed multimodal transportation projects.
