This was a newly created senior consultant contract role reporting directly to the COO. I played a pivotal part during a phase of rapid expansion and transformation, triggered by Mirae Asset Global Investments' acquisition of a small/medium fund and subsequent rebranding to Global X ETFS.I spearheaded the assessment of current and future business needs, envisioning a future state of growth both in employee and product. This involved a deep dive into the fundamental drivers of the business and a comprehensive understanding of the human talent pool required to establish a top-tier workplace. Throughout, I maintained a steadfast commitment to neutrality and objectivity, ensuring solutions aligned seamlessly with broader business and employee requirements.Conducting thorough interviews and a comprehensive desktop review, I delivered a detailed report with subsequent recommendations to the COO and senior leadership team. My primary focus was on strategic analysis and recommendations, working closely with the Business Operations Manager and COO to implement solutions, policies and processes that laid the foundation for a robust people and culture framework. Alongside this day to day HR activities were also undertaken including the development and rollout of a Senior Leadership development Workshop and team building workshops for the Marketing function. The successful execution of some of the recommendations played a pivotal role in propelling the business into a new, improved phase.

As General Manager - People, Learning and Culture, I supported StatePlus to achieve its strategic goals through its people by providing strategic HR support, leadership and advice in decision making, and the development of its plans, policies and practices. A major highlight was, using the solid foundations of the business to build and deliver a transformation program resulting in a client centric digital organisation. At the cornerstone of this was a rebrand and refresh of corporate values and commitments. I was responsible for the company’s performance management strategy, compensation and benefits programs and employee rewards systems to attract and retain high-calibre individuals.

On completion of the original 3 month contract I returned to undertake a further short term contract to support a further acquisition in New Zealand.
