Responsible for optimizing and implementing the company's financial systems and processes including accurate and timly billing of customers, collections, and payments to vendors and employees. Support internal staff by maintaining customer information and identifying areas of improvement.

Upon completing my CVA certification, I joined Weiss Accountancy. My role is to assist in growing the firm's audit practice, train and develop the staff, and assist in internal quality control and peer reviews. I also provide business valuation services for purposes of succession planning, gift and estate tax issues and change in ownership. I am also part of the managerial team that will provide mentoring and development to the firm's young partner group as the firm continues to grow and evolve, and work closely with the firm's managing partner on firm administration. Weiss Accountancy has a long history in the LA area. The firm has been in existence for over 60 years, has generational partnership and generational clients. The firm offers a range of services from book keeping, consultation, tax planning and preparation, business valuation, compilations, reviews and audits.

Individual and corporate tax preparation were added to my skill set and service offerings during this period. I worked under a local CPA; gaining knowledge and experience in individual, C Corp, S Corp and Partnership/LLC tax return preparation. This experience now allows me to offer a complete suite of services to any potential client, from the necessary bookkeeping and tax return preparation to value added services such as financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and business plan development.

Senior audit manager responsible for managing multiple financial audit engagements. Early in my career I focused on mid-size manufacturing and distribution companies; and then on start-up and early stage technology companies for the last 7 of my 12 years. Experience with public companies and the required SEC reporting requirements and filings. Experience in acquiring new clients from initial meetings to preparation of formal proposals to be presented to executive management.

Responsible for daily cash analysis, coordination of subsidiary location reporting requirements, and preparation of monthly financial information for the CFO. Also responsible for updating financial forecasts and assisting in preparation of the required SEC filings for the company. In addition, I was responsible for all administrative related filings (i.e. local property tax and state information filings).
