Our annual Conference has played a vital part in our growth to include other regional hospitals across Southern Ontario. The conference itself has grown from 1-day event to 2 days and now includes a full day of workshops on eLearning design and LMS implementation. Our ultimate goal is to reach out to all of Canadian healthcare eLearning designers and administrators so that we can learn and collaborate together.This position oversees planning and hosting of the Annual Conference, workshops and sessions related to best practices. The Administrative Director focuses on standards, procedures, and logistical operations for CeLC’S meetings and events.

A key component of my position is to design and development of elearning curriculum for both staff and patients. This includes managing all aspects of production including the instructional design, development, delivery, and evaluation of course material. Ensuring that the courses/material that is being delivered is created while adhering to adult education principles, and that the quality is consistent with the established organization standards.I also am the administration of our eLearning program which includes the implementation, deployment, maintenance of the organization's LMS. These duties include providing both technical and creative vision for the development, administration, and continuous improve of the learning system as well as administering other hosted mini-lms solutions that are occasionally necessary for purchased content. Another keen area of interest is in finding creative and unique ways to integrate various online and collaborative tools to enhance social learning throughout the organization.In addition, I find it extremely important to remain active in the learning and development community. To maintain current in an ever changing field I strive to regularly contributed to the this community through various channels, groups, and social media outlets. I've spoken numerous times at industry conferences such as DevLearn, Learning Solutions, Canadian eLearning Conference, have written articles for eLearn Magazine as well as maintain my own professional blog/website.
