Hired to create a process that would enable the logistics department to capture the performance and cost data available from multiple internal and external sources and use it to make informed business decisions. Critical elements of the project’s success:--> Created standardized formats, processes, and automation macros for vocabulary translation and data consolidation. This opened the silos so that common data across reports could be aggregated for analysis.--> Improved the robustness of the data via collaboration with constituents, detective work, and error reduction. Looking backward, much of the data had gaps, anomalies, and errors. This detailed analysis and updating enabled the managers to use archival data with the confidence that answers to their questions were built on a solid foundation of complete and accurate information. Looking forward, efficient processes and automated checks ensure that future data will be reliably robust.--> Created an organized, easy-to-update, easy-to-upload repository of data for use with the department’s Business Intelligence Analytics tools. --> Generated reports and data visualizations. This included use of business informatics tools to construct data storytelling charts, graphs, illustrations, and dashboards, as well as templates for analytics that would be used frequently in the future. Knowledge includes Power BI, DAX scripting, and database development.--> Developed well-written, user-friendly documentation and templates for management and employees. An important last step, this ensures that constituents are able to continue the project independently.--> Designed a database strategy to reduce the time spent entering the same data multiple times across multiple applications. This formal plan was presented to the IT team who responded with high praise for the quality of the design and a commitment to collaborate on the implementation of the plan.

Consolidated multiple categories of information for 60 global offices into one well-organized spreadsheet, providing a variety of users quick and easy access to a broad range of reliably accurate, up-to-date site information and cutting, by 90%, the response time for requested data and reports. --> Revitalized and Improved TIBCO’s Global Carbon Footprint Tracking Process: Designed a new, highly efficient data gathering process that resulted in more accurate data in half the time. Also designed user-friendly reports, output spreadsheets, graphics, and PowerPoint slides used by managers, the CIO, and the Board.--> Independently Managed the Permanent Closing of the 23,000 SF Manchester NH Office: Working alone in the office through the Covid months, independently organized and managed every project required to permanently close the office. Noteworthy accomplishment: Worked with local schools and charities to transfer over 75% of the office contents to classrooms, churches, shelters, and families who had lost their homes to fire. Collaboratively managed the permanent closing of two other large office sites (Boston and Waltham).--> Covid Years: Created and managed the spreadsheet needed to monitor local covid status and government mandates for facilities worldwide. The spreadsheet was the primary tool used to make and track covid-related decisions for global facilities.--> Office Management During the Pre-Covid Years: Purchasing, vendor relations, research service providers and quotes, oversee renovation and construction projects, organize, and manage physical office openings and closings, maintain a welcoming and pleasant work environment in open offices, organize events to build and maintain a healthy, happy employee culture.

Major achievements: --> Saved the Institute from losing accreditation from two critical agencies, ABET and NEASC. --> Created an efficient, highly organized system for managing requirements and deadlines so the Institute would not find itself in at-risk status again.

Managed the Department Chairs in the College of Arts & Sciences and General Education as they worked to meet the academic research and reporting requirements for the for the university’s 10-Year Reaccreditation Application. --> This 18-month project included supporting and guiding department chairs and faculty through the full process, from initiation through completion, and the management of progress and data collection, for over 100 simultaneous research projects – one for each undergraduate and graduate degree program. --> Wrote all relevant report sections for the application, plus the creation and population of a user-friendly website for housing hundreds of project documents and thousands of agency-required research artifacts. --> Results: Outstanding, with praise and appreciation from all involved, accolades from the accrediting agency, and a full ten-year accreditation on the first review – in university circles, a slam dunk.
