Responsible for content strategy, product development, and marketing for three of the most visited websites for women in the US. My teams’ work reached over 20 million readers and generated significant revenue for the company. I was part of the senior management team (reporting directly to the CEO) and had over 40 employees from several teams (Editorial, Product, Video, Marketing, and The Prowl) reporting to me. Highlights of my time at CafeMedia include:2013 – Launched The Prowl, a social shopping site where women can share and discover products they’re considering for purchase. Managed all aspects of The Prowl’s development and growth including product, marketing, editorial, and sales execution. 2012 – Launched CafeMom Studios, an in-house video studio for CafeMom in conjunction with our selection as one of YouTube’s original content partners. Produced over 800 videos across 25 web series ranging from reality shows to political commentary to humor. 2011 – Helped to launch MamasLatinas, a bi-lingual site aimed at Latina women living in the US. Managed the editorial team and drove big picture strategy. 2010 – Launched The Stir, CafeMom’s first editorial property. Led every aspect of building this property from writing the original brand statement to designing the CMS and hiring the entire team. Grew into a 17-member team producing 65+ stories per day and attracting over 15 million unique monthly visitors. 2006 – Member of the 6-person team that launched CafeMom. Managed product development, community, and marketing during the site's first 3 years of explosive growth. Worked closely with the sales team to develop innovative sponsorship opportunities including first-of-their-kind word-of-mouth and influencer campaigns.
