I am a passionate public school educator who spent the last nine years in the Curriculum and Instruction department of the 4th largest school district in Texas. In my role as the district coordinator high school English Language Arts and Reading, I developed curriculum and provided instructional coaching support to over 300 HS teachers working on 15 comprehensive and magnet campuses. After retiring in June, I want to continue to be of service, particularly to underserved children and families, either in a part-time or volunteer capacity. As a recent graduate of the Masters Leadership Program of San Antonio Class XX, I have learned a great deal about nonprofit board leadership and hope to find a way to serve this city I love.
