In my time here, I executed talent initiatives linked to key business priorities such as:1) restoring the trust & effective working relationship between HRBP and Retail Management as well as other employees 2) streamlining the existing HR operations process and policies as well as establishing some new mandatory processes in accordance with local labour & tax regulations3) strategizing the initial plan for an effective implementation of our Equity, Inclusion & Diversity initiative for MY & SG after conducting rounds of focus groups to better understand the local landscape & needs4) orchestrated & successfully carried out a large scale internal charity sale where we raised about ~RM 150k, leveraging on some innovative solutions given our Covid-19 environment 5) facilitated and prepared virtual leadership development trainings for store managers (on MBTI)

I am responsible to manage the Global Leadership Programs in GE such as the Graduate Engineering Training Program (GETP), Financial Management Program (FMP), and Digital Technology Leadership Program (DTLP) across the ASEAN region, as well as to drive the university strategy for Malaysia (primarily) and other ASEAN countries by building and developing partnerships with targeted universities to build GE’s presence in the campus and to help build the fresh graduate talent pipeline for GE in this SEA region.My responsibilities are as follows:-Lead GE Campus branding activities within MY while overseeing the initiatives in other ASEAN countries.Lead projects relating to establish and increase Employee Value Proposition (EVP) among the targeted university students including social media branding.Build and strengthen relationships with various executive and non-executive universities.Lead strategic UR programs across businesses as the "face"​ of GE in Malaysia & ASEAN. I am responsible for providing strategic finance leadership for the US & LCS businesses in ASEAN, a $90M revenue base with high growth potential. I serve as a business partner to the commercial team focusing on key initiatives to drive growth and productivity. FMP is an intensive rotational program with four 6-months rotations within the finance function across different GE businesses. Candidates may also be selected to represent the region in one international rotation either in Atlanta, Fairfield, Paris, Florence, Hong Kong, Dubai, Tokyo or Seoul. Throughout my experience, I was placed across a total of 3 GE businesses across 2 region and 3 countries. I started with a Statutory Controllership role with GE Power & Water based in KL, Malaysia, then to a Financial Planning & Advisory (FP&A) role with GE Oil & Gas based in Singapore, then to a Cash Analyst role supporting the Europe Cash Team in GE Healthcare based in Buc/Paris, France, and finally back to KL for a Controllership role with GE Power & Water. My 2 years as an FMP have provided me with great learning experiences where I further developed my financial and business acumen. It also allowed me to practice my interpersonal and analytical skills, while giving me insight to the way of finance. I have had the chance of acquiring as well as sharpening valuable skills vital for the survival and success in any business stream, such skills as communications and interpersonal, leadership, presentation, teamwork, and creativity. The structure of the FMP heavily revolves around in-class presentations, team assignments & study materials of topics relevant to any industry such as operational accounting, controls and strategy. These are expectations on top of our current rotation's role job responsibilities, hence time management is an integral part to success within the FMP.
