In March 2015, the company publicly reported “that [the American Team] delivered on their strategy by… executing significant asset development projects” and that the “record fourth quarter and full year results reflected the successful execution of [American’s] growth strategy in 2014.” American Midstream Partners, LP (AMID) was formed in August 2009 to own, operate, develop and acquire a diversified portfolio of midstream energy assets. At the time of my tenure, AMID was engaged in the business of gathering, treating, processing, fractionating and transporting natural gas and oil through our ownership and operation of ten gathering systems, two processing facilities, three interstate pipelines and five intrastate pipelines. AMID owned a 50% undivided, non-operating interest in a processing plant located in southern Louisiana. AMID's primary assets, which are strategically located in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, provide critical infrastructure that links producers and suppliers of natural gas to diverse natural gas markets, including various interstate and intrastate pipelines, as well as utility, industrial and other commercial customers. AMID operated approximately 2,300 miles of pipelines that gather and transport over 1 Bcf/d of natural gas and own approximately 1.7 million barrels of storage capacity across four terminals. -

Initial job duties included complex piping, and advanced machine / conveyor designs. Further duties included the creation of detailed engineering general arrangements, P&ID’s, layouts and other specialized drawings using an advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Solid Works 3-D modeling packages. FEA studies using Cosmos Works packages were also performed to support advanced designs. Several of these designs led to United States patents and PTO applications. Promoted from a staff mechanical engineer to Manager of Engineering – Retorts and then to the Director of Engineering. As Director of Engineering, five staff and several outside contract employees were directly supervised. Further duties included fabrication supervision of final designs. A detailed understanding of sheet metal fabrication, laser cut and press brake systems, CNC mill / lathe operations, and multiple stainless steel welding procedures was acquired. Familiarity with ASME codes and standards was also learned. Acquired the company an ASME “U” and “R” stamp whereby we certified numerous ASME unfired pressure vessels. Appointed by management as the corporate safety and quality control manager in an ISO 9001 type environment. Utility system support was also provided on advanced steam and condensate drain systems. Theoretical steam, electricity and air consumption calculations were also performed. Instrument, piping and an array of other specifications and purchase orders were created and managed. -
