I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. I have worked extensively with children and adolescents over most of those years. However, my practice is not devoted solely to children and adolescents. I also see many adults experiencing difficulties with depression and/or anxiety. Many of the children and adolescents I have work with may be struggling with ADHD, parental divorce, depression anger issues or bullying. I work with parents extensively, while working with their children to find strategies that are age appropriate and suitable to meet their needs. I feel that is very important for clients to understand how to impact their own lives in a healthy way to facilitate their own sense of self-confidence and gradual independence from therapy. Those who agree to services with me will find me easy to talk with and a willing partner with them to find solutions. My goal is to provide a n non-judgmental compassionate therapeutic environment, as well as to provide practical behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults. My extensive experiences providing positive youth development with focus on reducing youth violence has prepared me to work with a very diverse group. Matriculating in the Orleans Parish Public School System has given me with tools and knowledge of working with both urban and suburban populations dealing with a variety of issues.
