David is a strategic and analytical leader with a passion for helping organizations solve complex talent challenges. He is responsible for creating and executing the strategy to address business-critical workforce shortages through recruiting, developing, and retaining a skilled and diverse workforce across Cox Automotive's line of businesses. His future aspirations are to continue his career as a leader in HR, where talent management, people analytics, and/or HR technology are areas he's able to add strategic value. Topics that interest him include selection/assessments, competency models, leadership development, performance management, engagement, workforce development, predictive modeling, and simulation & game-based training (basically, I love being a practitioner leader!).For his professional development, David completed his Master's in I/O Psychology at the University of Georgia - focusing his research on the talent attraction of underrepresented candidates. He's also served as a Chair for Diversity and Inclusion resource groups, is a Board Member for a non-profit focused on providing economic opportunity to at-risk youth, volunteers to coach justice-involved individuals, consults with law enforcement agencies, and champions partnerships between the private sector and government to better serve underserved populations. He also recently earned his SHRM-SCP certification.While not at work, he enjoys following the Atlanta Falcons, playing video games, trying new recipes, tackling DIY projects, chasing his son around the house, and occasionally getting lost on Wikipedia.
