- Hired to build and maintain a French learning content library for TELUS technicians and partners.- Helped to procure CAT tools and provided training.- Reviewed and edited hundreds of pages of translations to build a reliable translation memory.- Researched and validated terminology to develop a technical termbase, produced a French style guide and a translation quality assessment form.- Provided support and advice on translation strategy, helped establish an efficient intake and translation process and worked with subject-matter experts and content developers to set and maintain high standards for the communication and learning content.- Advocated for the addition of two more translator positions. Participated in the hiring process by analyzing needs, setting standards, developing interview questions and tests, reviewing the tests and conducting interviews.- Onboarded new hires while continuing to manage the workload and supervise the team during an ongoing restructuring process.

The Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia (S.T.I.B.C.) was incorporated in 1981. It is a non-profit professional association and an affiliate of the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC). - Provided high quality French editing and translation services.- Worked on Canadian Tourism Commission's industry publications such as the TOURISM magazine, the organization's Annual Report, corporate documents such as Treasury Board submissions, Ministerial and executive correspondence, board of directors information material, reports, external and internal communications, media information and marketing materials, and other related documents.- Provided advice within the Canadian Tourism Commission and to contracted resources, writers and editors on communication issues and the provision of effective French writing, editing and translation services.- Contributed to populating the CTC terminology database.- Assessed the CAT needs of the Translation Department, arranged for the evaluation of three different CAT tools and provided training for SDL Trados.
