As a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Houston, I develop and implement a collaborative effort for enhancing the drug discovery process from basic discovery to applied and translational research. My mission is to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship by exploiting resources throughout the campus and the region, and to expand the bandwidth of individual faculty by facilitating/enabling multidisciplinary projects beyond current capabilities through shared expertise and resources.I have a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I conducted research projects under Dr. Timothy F. Jamison, a renowned expert in the field. I have 7 years of research experience in synthetic and analytical chemistry. I also have 6 years of experience in leadership and conflict management, and 8 years of experience in teaching and mentoring. I am passionate about advancing the science and practice of drug discovery, and contributing to the health and well-being of society.
