This involved performing and overseeing FACS, qPCR, ELISA and histology of bleomycin-induced IPF in mice.• Developed and utilized qPCR-based assays of human keratinocytes and mast cells as in vitro models of atopic dermatitis for proof of concept and target validation studies.• Using oxazolone-induced ear edema, mastoparan-evoked itch and dust mite-treated flaky tail mice as in vivo models of atopic dermatitis for IND-enabling efficacy studies.• Managing CROs to test penetration and efficacy of topicals for atopic dermatitis.• Developing a neutrophil-based pharmacodynamic assay for use in NASH clinical trials.• Assessed acute toxicity of test compounds in mice and rats.• Performed statistical analyses of Phase I clinical data for FDA submission.

• Investigated endothelin (ET-1) signaling in keratinocytes and its role in peripheral pain.• Used qPCR, Ca++ imaging and western blot to characterize endothelin receptor expression and pathways in a variety of cell types (e.g. keratinocytes, sensory neurons). • Utilized qPCR, Ca++ imaging and pharmacological tools to identify a neuronal ATP receptor sensitized by endothelin receptor activation with a role in post-surgical pain.• Used Ca++ imaging to analyze effect of local anesthetics on GPCR function (e.g. ET-1).• Performed western blots to analyze changes in MAPK in spinal cords of mice given thoracotomy surgery with ablation of NK-1 expressing neurons.• Oversaw radioligand binding experiments analyzing GPCR dimer interactions.
