Worked with three students to create an equity portfolio in Excel that consisted of ten stocks using the Fama-French three-factor model and capital asset pricing model. Computed historical price fluctuations to determine return correlations with the broader market. Created a table of the stocks' variances then used matrix multiplication to generate a single measure of risk for the entire portfolio. Finally we established optimum portfolio weights in accordance with maximizing the Sharpe ratio (expected return/standard deviation) by using the Solver tool.
