Director Health Information Management
CurrentPolicy and Procedure Development: Create and direct a Health Information Management department to provide standardization and accountability across the organization related to medical records, electronic health system practices, compliance, health care provider onboarding/departure, and clinical staff training. Work with clinical staff, health care providers, vendors, and other affiliates to identify shortcomings and best practices related to electronic health system practices and develop new methods of usage that promote efficiency and compliance.Government Incentive Procurement: Remain abreast of government programs that provide financial incentives in the form incentive payments, enhanced reimbursements and payment adjustments. Perform required interactions with incentive program agencies and other reporting mechanisms to determine eligibility and ensure financial reimbursement or avoidance of reimbursement penalties.Patient and User Support: Manage electronic health system training staff to ensure new and ongoing educational content is delivered to clinical users. Assist clinical users with ongoing electronic health system practices. Oversee release of medical records services for all clinical facilities across the organization. Direct HIM specialist in the conversion, inclusion and release of patient health information from all electronic and paper storage systems.
