I currently am employed for the City of Reno, where I am the Accounting Technician in the Finance Department. In this position, I balance and reconcile city bank statements, general ledger accounts, and city contracts. I administer and manage over 200 City of Reno P-Card accounts, which includes the inputting of transactions and disputes into the correct established account classifications. I reconcile all Accounts Payable general ledger accounts and help prepare journal entries to help with the month end/year end processes. I’m also responsible for the preparation and payment of our weekly insurance invoices, as well as the quarterly interest payments on all City Contracts that hold retention.
