Responsible for managing the agency’s information technology Quality Assurance teams for systems development, maintenance, and support.Manage a medium to large group of Quality Assurance Engineers and Testers, to successfully complete work assignments. Includes: • Assigning and monitoring work progress.• Resolving or escalating issues.• Administrative duties.• Staff performance management.• Providing development guidance,• Developing and maintaining comprehensive policies, procedures, and methodology for system test planning, development, and execution. • Creating a library of best practices that can be used for new and existing QA personnel • Develop and maintain test environments.• Create project work plans.• Track project timelines.• Identifying and resolving issues and risks. • Communicating status to the key stakeholders.• Provide test estimations and identify resources for those efforts.• Organize and participate in team project meetings, including project status, planning, and test conditions reviews. • Manage and provide system test status on application support and releases.• Develop and maintain a blueprint of the overall test environment (Unit, System, and UAT). Including applications, tools, utilities, databases, configuration management, file transfer, etc.• Define and maintain KPI Metrics for the Quality Assurance area.
