My work at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments included all RPO functions for the seven county Brazos Valley region. I led a comprehensive planning effort to create a five-year update to the Coordinated Health and Human Service Transportation Plan through TxDOT, in addition to serving as a general transportation liaison between our local jurisdictions and state/federal resources. This work has included a highway project prioritization matrix for the region, facilitating the Brazos Valley Transportation Partnership with our local health resource centers, along with serving as the transportation resource center for the region.

My work in Lawrence consisted of general planning duties within the office regarding land use, development, and promoting positive growth in the city. A large amount of my work was done with an emphasis on historical preservation of key properties which make up the history and tradition of Lawrence, Kansas through the development process.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota

As Planning Intern, I performed the following tasks: develop staff reports and site plans for the planning Commission; research and develop implementation methods for MS4 (Multiple Separate Storm Sewer Systems) Program; manage databases for permits and other statistical data; assist with code enforcement site visits & correspondence; Create subdivision/ map booklets & update parcel layers in ArcGIS; assist with daily operations of the planning & zoning staff.
