About Travis Hoover

Highland West Energy distributes, designs, builds, operates, and maintains clean, on-site energy systems that produce electricity, hot water, heating, and cooling to small and medium sized commercial facilities. We are a newer entrant into the non-utility owned power generation market. Up to this point, the majority of the key players are much, much larger than us – some constructing, owning, and operating assets totaling 30,000 MW with 700 MW under construction. These corporations are competing on the utility scale, where HWE is focusing on a yet untapped market that is focused on the light-to-medium commercial application where the design, build, and operation of these units is more in the 15 KW to 1 MW space.Our core business is designing and building custom combined heat and power (CHP) – or cogeneration systems. We are a full-service EPC CHP firm. Our customers can come to us for feasibility studies, energy efficiency studies, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. We also assist with arranging financing when necessary and provide fee-based maintenance and warranty for our systems on a long-term contractual basis lasting on average roughly 15 to 20 years.I'm an Entrepreneur with a background in finance and sales. I love being part of a new venture -- especially one that has the ability to make an impact and leave a legacy that I can be passionate about and proud of. And if there is one thing I believe in, it is that I don't know everything. So I turn to God and to my network of peers when I get stuck. But I love life and feel blessed for each and every day that I am able to live it.
