I counsel individuals and groups of students in setting and developing strategies for the achievement of academic, social/personal development and other identified goals. I also attend meetings with staff and service providers to discuss individual student education plans and progress. I also performs routines administrative/office tasks as required, including but not limited to preparing correspondence, copying and filing documents, answering the telephone, sending and receiving faxes, entering and retrieving computer data, ordering supplies.

I provide support and coordination of programming to assist teachers and school administration in addressing students behavior in an effort to increase student engagement and student performance. I also coordinate and facilitate programming to address behavior interventions and restorative practices in individual schools as well as systemically throughout the school system.

I Perform the functions of this position with a strong understanding of the Head Start Performance Standards and the component plans; and thorough knowledge and application of Developmentally Appropriate Practices. Also I Complete and submit required forms and records in a timely and accurate fashion, lesson plans, time sheets and meal reports. I also Works with Teachers, Teacher Assistant and volunteers to use and develop their skills and abilities in planning and carrying out classroom activities. I maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment, assuring that classroom equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies are properly maintained and stored.

*Internship at South Carolina State Child Development Learning Center (150 hours)•Created learning activities fit to the individual needs of children. Including basic self help skills, created a learning environment and materials that were fun, clean and safe. Observed, reported and assessed children's development and behaviors. Developed a positive rapport with children, families and staff.
