Key part of improvement of formal production system to manage communication, escalation, and overall performance in all facets of the plant. Marion, Ohio April 2021-July 2022Folding carton manufacturing plant with around 400 teammates. Flexo printing with both platen and rotary cutting in line and multiple specialty gluers. Improved results as well as broke records in safety, quality, culture, productivity, and financials.

The goal is for all downtime to be scheduled downtime and all work to be planned. This includes basic care, preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance. Responsible for plant wide Lean/six sigma implementation as well as: cost savings, document control, work systems, trials, and all Manufacturing Excellence tools that drive improvement such as root cause analysis, Kaizen, process control, and 5S. Focusing on increasing engagement on the floor by involving cross functional teams in improvement events as we drive toward 0 injuries, reduced waste, and increased OEE. Member of the facility lead team. In 2016 and 2017 the plant achieved record high cost reductions and record low process waste. We also had 80 White Belts certified and have 4 Yellow Belts certified. I was approved as a white belt instructor. We have involved over 1/3 of the facility team members in deliberate improvement events as we strive to make tomorrow better than today while improving engagement.

Process Engineer in the cup department of the foodservice division of International Paper. Assisted with startup of new equipment as part of the 70 million dollar expansion. Served as the Operations Maintenance Coordinator to prioritize, plan, and schedule work that needs addressed in the department. Led improvement projects on high priority equipment that led to efficiency and output improvements as well as waste reduction. Focus on improving performance in safety, quality, and production. Served as Interim Process Superintendent, leading the team of Process Engineers, before being promoted to the Manufacturing Excellence department.

I also served as a recruiter for the OMT program. 1st Rotation: Fremont, MI: Nestle/Gerber Infant Nutrition from July 2013-July 2014 Wrote secondary LOTO procedure for the filler and process. Interviewed hourly and supervisory candidates. Member of a Green Belt project that resulted in reduced waste in excess of $1 million. Ran a waste bin trial to attack a safety concern that led to a plant wide rollout. Got experience in a TPM facility. Worked as production supervisor with around 25 employees on a crew. Process reliability record reached in Q1 2014. 2nd Rotation: Jonesboro, AR: Nestle Prepared Foods from July 2014-June 2015 Production Team Supervisor Lean facility. Managing up to 70 employees at a time. Responsible for managing the production and sanitation crews on the line that must be at USDA standards. Member of a division level Green Belt Project. Attended Nestle Frontline leader training. Saw improvements in quality and production while having no major safety incidents.
