Within the few months I worked with the DCYF (Department of Children, Youth and Families), I have worked with the state's case managers, assisting their clients by stabilizing emotionally and interacting with them. My official title was a Visitation/Transportation Supervisor. The clients were kids ranging from about 5-17 years old. Additionally, assisting any case workers with planning various activities in the office. This was done by organizing, editing and sending important information as well as letters to families. These letters included vital information about adoption status, child support and celebratory cards. I have worked with a small team to transport goods as well as the children receiving assistance. I worked there for I have been working with In Pizza We Crust since it opened, and recently closed which is 5 years of experience (Feb 2019- Feb 2024) . While my official role had no clear label, I have performed all aspects of the job. I have customer service experience with dealing with transactions, and problem solving when they arose. An example is when a customer gave an order while we were busy, we ran out of a topping as we got to their order. My partner and I quickly realized and I quickly approached the customer and told them of the situation despite the busy environment. We came to an agreement where we would use a different one, and made sure that it was clear we were out of said toppings.Continuing my experience with In Pizza We Crust, I have led leadership roles within that experience. I assisted training, and maintaining the storefront all on my own. I made sure to delegate and offer assistance in a constructive way to better the skills of those I trained. This was done to make sure that quality and care was taking place as we were in the service industry. I learned how to be a better, more efficient leader while I was still performing my duties alongside the new employee.Finally with the experience of In Pizza We Crust, we would often do events that required a larger team, and coordination. I would help facilitate meetings to make sure there was harmony within the teams work. Figuring out who was doing what job, and filling in wherever needed as I was likely the cook which was focused on time management and quality control of the product. Or I was taking orders, pacing the line and making sure our team was able to handle the influx of orders.
