I am responsible for identifying opportunities and developing solutions in a refinery setting with a goal ofmaximizing unit on stream time and optimizing unit economics in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. I have been assigned to the FCC and HF Alky units since January 2019 and previously spent 5 years covering the Naphtha Hydrotreater, CCR.

• I am responsible for proactively identifying problems and developing solutions in the Reformer Unit with a goal of maximizing on unit stream time and optimizing unit economics in a safe and environmentally responsible.
• Ensure that units are operated safely and employees comply with all safety procedures
• Participate in unit HazOps and complete recommendations
• Participate in yearly certification of SOPs
• Lead and/or participate in incident investigations
• Ensure MOCs are in place and that PSSR and training is completed for all process changes

I do engineering/design, procurement and project management for a wide variety of projects that improve the plant's safety, efficiency, profitability or compliance with new regulations.

• coordinate small to medium sized projects from start to finish
• coordinated with and oversaw contractors on projects during a time critical unit turn-around
• trained in the Management of Change process and owner of several MOCs.
• designed and evaluated a new piping system and sized a pump for the system
• evaluated several problematic slop lines, evaluated new routes for them and completed a scoping process for implementing the changes
• participated in a HAZOP for the LPG unit

• designed, built and characterized a partial oxidation reactor for integration with a hydrogen fuel cell reformer
• calibrated flow rates for fuel feeders
• monitored process, temperature, NOx, CO2 levels, etc. via OPTO 22
• wrote a user manual for the reactor
• analyzed experimental data.
• maintained and cleaned equipment

• coordinated unique projects and kept track of materials used on orders
• directed 2-5 helpers and trained new employees
• organized an employee safety and training workshop
• utilized hand tools, power tools, cutting torch, MIG welder, aluminum spool gun, etc.
