Commercial salmon fishing in Southeast Alaska on the Fishing Vessel Emily Nicole consisted of piling fishing gear, boat maintenance projects, off loading fish to a tender boat or the processing plant, and driving the boat between fishing grounds. Often worked in extreme weather conditions requiring consistent attention to detail and ensuring safety and smooth operations for the boat and crew. Working days were often 17-20 hours per day.*This was a summer job (June - August of 2016 & 2017)

Worked in a team of engineers overseeing quality assurance throughout all manufacturing processes. Projects included ensuring appropriate plywood veneer color variation by personal measurement and specifying color range through statistical analysis, design of experiments to reduce plywood putty cure time before further operations, and overseeing entire plywood builds while ensuring proper sanding specifications during vendor change.

Deckhand for a commercial charter boat which included operating down riggers, cleaning the deck of the boat, and attending to clientele need. Operated the fish packaging and sorting so clients left with the correct fish. I also did miscellaneous jobs on the lodge which included minor repair on skiff motors, refueling gasoline drums, and cleaning the dock. Worked in harsh conditions with rigorous hours of an average day at 13-16 hours, and some up to 20 hours a day. *This was a summer job (June - August of 2013 & 2014)
