I attended Oklahoma State University to study Finance and Accounting, with aspirations of becoming a banker. Encouraged by a family member and corporate pilot to get my Private Pilot License during my final year in college, I quickly changed course to pursue a career in aviation. After graduating in 2002, my wife Kobie and I, moved to Phoenix, AZ where I completed my flight training, earned my teaching credentials, and began flight instructing. My success teaching was quickly recognized, and I spend the remainder of my time in Phoenix as a Check Pilot. My aviation adventures took us to Minneapolis in May 2005 where I gained employment at Mesaba Airlines. As fate would have it, Mesaba's fortunes didn't last, and once again we were on the move to Portland, OR in February 2006 to join forces with the fine people at Horizon Airlines. Currently I'm qualified on the Bombardier Q400 and recently joined our Flight Standards and Training department to become a Simulator Instructor. Kobie and I feel fortunate to reside in the Pacific Northwest and enjoy the many activities it offers. Our greatest joy is experiencing life with two wonderful little boys that currently need shuttle service between baseball and soccer practice, and everywhere in between. Our boys are also the inspiration behind ModernBabyBooks.com, our family owned and operated business.
