Transportation Planner for The Western United States

Coordinate the transportation planning of customer replenishment orders in the most cost effective and efficient manner possible, while meeting all customer service expectations Responsible for the transportation coordinating/planning at assigned plants, company distribution centers, and third party warehouses via all available modes for our products Interface regularly with product management, production operations, as well as carriers and customers, to discuss and improve logistical operations.

Single point customer contact for major national customer accounts. Locate and manage freight flow on inbound units into central and eastern United States. Managed 65 employees focusing KPI on fuel mileage, idle time, Equipment utilization and safety.Daily reporting of operational status for the region to management.

Daily supervision of trucking operations, Dispatch, Equipment scheduling and allocation, Contract negotiations inbound freight shipments. Dedicated coverage and operations for multiple shippers. Ensure communications and customer service is provided to all parties impacted by all shipments. Assist in company wide DOT Safety and compliance oversight to ensure applicable regulations are followed for all personnel. Problem resolution and management of daily operations.

Oversight of day to day operations for Maintenance Department, Including employees, cost allocation and cost efficiency. Vendor relations, Communications for all progress of equipment status and updates to ensure timely repairs and completion. Final decision making for Maintenance purchases for in house and outside repairs.
