Geographer/GIS Analyst at the USGS Western Geographic Science Center. I focus on analyzing satellite and aerial imagery and creating models and maps for multiple stakeholders within the USGS, including landscape ecology, water sciences, and the natural hazards teams. I conduct geospatial analysis to characterize variability across a range of terrestrial substrates, and I use statistical analysis software in conjunction with GIS data and data from prior studies to perform geographic analyses and interpret land use change over time and how those changes relate to various environmental conditions.The Western Geographic Science Center (WGSC) conducts geographic research on the environmental and societal consequences of a changing landscape. WGSC tools and models help decision makers better use complex scientific information to understand their alternative options.

Ventus Environmental Solutions is an environmental consulting firm that investigated and monitored turbine-related avian fatalities as part of the Vasco Winds repowering project at the Altamont Pass Wind Resource Area. As a part of the project, 438 smaller obsolete wind turbines were decommissioned and replaced with 34 larger and more efficient turbines.

Jones & Stokes Environmental Consultants is an environmental consulting firm that investigated and monitored turbine-related avian fatalities as part of the Altamont Pass Avian Monitoring Team at the Altamont Pass Wind Resource Area.

The Humboldt State University, "Movements, Nesting, and Response to Anthropogenic Disturbance of Marbled Murrelets Project" monitored the effect of human disturbances associated with the maintenance and use of public trails on Marbled Murrelets. The purpose of the project was to analyze the rate of disturbance on the productivity of Marbled Murrelets to allow informed decisions on priorities that effect conservation.The Humboldt State University, "Common Murre Restoration Project" monitored breeding seabirds including the Common Murre, Brandt’s Cormorant, Pelagic Cormorant, Western Gull, Black Oystercatcher and Pigeon Guillemot along the central California coast. The purpose of the project was to aid in the recovery of Common Murre colonies that were depleted because of oil spills, human disturbance, and other anthropogenic factors.

The Simon Fraser University Center for Wildlife Ecology investigated the breeding ecology and nesting habitat of Marbled Murrelets in Calyoquot Sound, BC, Canada. The results from this research provided valuable information on the habitat choices of nesting murrelets.

Assisted with research on federally endangered black-capped Vireos (BCVI) in the Wichita Mountains of SW Oklahoma. This research investigated population demographics and the effects of Brown-headed Cowbird trapping on the breeding success of vireos.
