Technical Service Microbiology Manager
Current Manage a group of 5 scientists and 2 laboratory support technicians in providing technical support for customers and internal departments Support customers with method application developments, design validation studies, data interpretation, and product troubleshooting Serve as a technical spokesperson in support of the product line. Present technical aspects of systems and applications data to customers and scientific audiences. Participate in activities of trade organizations and scientific associations Coordinator of customer technical support and training activities with Sales and Marketing staff Contribute ideas for product improvement and new applications. Coordinate activities with Research and Development staff Generate and analyze data from a variety of laboratory techniques and microbiological instrumentation including Soleris, Automated Liquid Handlers, Microwell Washers and Readers, and other hand-held technology for pathogens and indicator organisms Continuously expanding knowledge and researching techniques to improve department efficiency Participate in alpha and beta site testing including support, data analysis, and on-site involvement. Regularly perform and coordinate validation, feasibility, and application studies to replicate results and to verify results with industry or scientific literature standards Responsible for the coordination, ordering, and maintenance of general laboratory supplies for scientific departments in Center for Microbiological Excellence facility Consistently increasing responsibility and have contributed to company growth in a dynamic, competitive industry Successful completion of Symposium and Workshop Series on Molecular Methods in Food Microbiology at Colorado State University
