About Dr. Travis Robert Moore

Travis R. Moore takes an integrative approach to addressing civic inequities viewing community initiatives and coalition building as vital components to solving complex social issues. He studies community coalitions and their efforts to change individual behavior and benefit their surrounding communities, particularly in the areas of health and mental health. He integrates complex systems science techniques with community-based research approaches to understand the mechanisms of collective action. His current focus is on the use and feasibility of participatory technology to facilitate community empowerment as well as developing and evaluating a community coalition intervention that promotes the use of research evidence in the process of improving childhood and LGBTQ+ health outcomes. He is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tufts University and the Director of Evaluation at healthTIDE in Wisconsin.
