Coordinated the prioritization of intelligence targets; brokered the matching of targets to assets; and planned missions. Qualified to hold all operational positions of responsibility on a ballistic missile submarine including at-sea responsibility for operation of the entire boat and her crew. Completed five patrols and was selected by the commanding officer to supervise an extensive, complex, and critical drydocked maintenance period for the ship. This included hundreds of engineers and hundreds of engineering projects for which security, radiation containment, configuration management, reactor safety, and many other constraints needed to be considered. Shipyard support facility described the maintenance period as the smoothest in memory. Awarded the Navy Achievement Medal.Qualified as a Nuclear Engineer by examination by the Department of Naval Reactors in 1998.
