As a quantum nurse leader, I utilize the collective wisdom of interprofessional teams to innovate the future of healthcare. With over 20 years of healthcare experience across the continuum of care, with a focus on quality improvement and change management, I connect and lead teams to design agile health systems that serve our communities. My training and experience prepare me to navigate complex healthcare and social systems, see diversity among individuals as an asset, and utilize the strengths of individuals to innovate and implement solutions to complex problems. Please see my CV under the "Experience" section below. My Master's and Doctorate degree studies in innovative leadership and health system administration are founded in complexity science theory and quantum leadership principles. My Master's capstone project focused on developing clinical decision-making tools to improve real-time decisions. I designed shared-decision making tools for patients suffering from atrial fibrillation that gave providers current and holistic information so they could design patient-centered care plans with their patients. The IOM 2012 report, "Better Care at Lower Cost," was the theoretical framework that supported this project.I completed my doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) degree with a focus in Health System Administration and Leadership. The DNP in health system administration and leadership meets the ANCC DNP Essentials and prepares nurse leaders to lead and guide healthcare systems through complex changes, and in integrating research and evidence-based care into practice. See my DNP project and poster presentations and the other scholarly work I have completed in the "Education" section below.
