Travis Shingleton is a seasoned safety and security professional with a diverse and distinguished career spanning both military and civilian sectors. Beginning his journey with the U.S. Coast Guard, Travis played a pivotal role in the transition of the USCG from the Department of Transportation to the Department of Homeland Security.As a founding member of a Maritime Safety Security Team based in New York City, Travis specialized in counter-terrorism operations along the East Coast. His commitment to safeguarding national interests continued as he ventured into federal contracts within the construction industry, where he successfully transformed his construction company into a leading safety consulting firm.Travis's expertise as a Safety Officer extended to numerous U.S. Army Corps of Engineer projects, where he implemented the EM 385 standards to ensure the highest level of safety compliance. Notably, he served as the Safety Officer for a critical construction project at the Catawba Nuclear Station in South Carolina for Dominion Energy.Embracing new challenges, Travis joined the Utah Transit Authority, initially as a Bus System Supervisor. His dedication and competence led to a swift promotion to the Safety Department, where he assumed the role of Construction Safety Administrator. Currently holding certifications such as TSI Transit Safety and Security Program (TSSP) (Rail & Bus), Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Program Certificate (PTSCTP), and completion of Transit System Safety & Security Design Review and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design training, FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.
