I have been writing my entire life but now I am looking to monetize my skills. I can provide a valuable product for various clients and will be building my own portfolio in the process. Being a professional writer has always been something I knew I would love to do, but for some reason I would never take steps to realize this goal. It just never seemed attainable. Like a lot of young adults, I wandered aimlessly for a few years until I joined the Marine Corps and served through two combat deployments. The technical skills I learned while serving may not be particularly useful in my current life, but the mindset of facing every challenge head on is directly responsible for the success I have had. Since my time in the Marines, I have built an amazing family, and established myself in a well-paying job that allows me not only financial security, but an abundance of free time as well. At this point in my life, I am all out of excuses. I have had a degree of success at virtually every endeavor I set my mind on, so why not take a shot at a career I really want?
