I left my previous job and joined this team to be a part of something special. Regions Bank needed to modernize, not only its technology stack, but the way it approached software development and deployment and I wanted to be a part of it.The team I joined developed a web application that allows customers to open and fund accounts online without having to visit a branch. The work done by this team and others helped make the bank a leader in digital account origination. This app was developed using ReactJS for the front-end and .NET Core for the backend. We also utilized docker containers in our CI/CD pipeline. All of this tech was new (or relatively new) to the bank.Key Results:- Assisted with the development, debugging and testing of the various components of the application.- My unique skill set allowed me to be proficient with both back-end (.NET Core/C#) and front-end (ReactJS) and made nice contributions in both areas.- Developed and taught several training classes on .NET Core/C# in an effort to assist the front-end focused members of the team more cross functional.

This site is used to manage a portion of the Liberty business. Served as one of the designers and implementers of a quoting / rules engine which is a part of a larger effort to convert the death claims system from Cobol to C#. Designed and implemented a set of services that package, monitors and sends application packets to an e-signature service using a service bus. Played a key role in completing, testing, deploying and stabilizing a new web based application for insurance underwriters. Once the application was successfully deployed, I became the lead software developer for ongoing maintenance. Served as team architect for the Life and Annuities software development team which includes ten developers in two cities supporting a number of different applications. Spearheaded an effort to move front-end web development to Angular JS for a multi-year long new development project. This project included both back and front end development and is a tool used internally for insurance application intake.

Served in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff of Information Management for the 81st Regional Support Command (formerly located in Birmingham AL). The 81st RSC had the command and control responsibility for an eight state region in the southeast. We provided technological, video and audio support for a wide array of units throughout the eight state region. My primary responsibilities were (1) to help ensure that our unit was properly trained and prepared to support technological implementations, (2) to ensure that technological documentation was accurate and distributed, (3) to ensure that any classified information standards, as it pertained to computers, were adhered, and (4) to ensure that functions that required audio/visual equipment were properly manned and supported.
