A highly accomplished and professional certified engineer, with a rich and diverse background in I.T. Infrastructure Support. Seeking a challenging position as a senior network engineer where I can utilize and further develop my knowledge of networking and enhance my professional skills and proficiency.I have enjoyed a long and diverse career in I.T. Support spanning three continents, from my humble beginnings building PC's and installing networks for home and business customers in Southern Africa, to working as a Trade Floor Support Engineer at a Blue Chip Investment bank. From the mundane to the mission critical, each position has matured my understanding of just how vital Information Technology is to the success of every business and the inherent strengths and weaknesses that make it so.I have spent a large percentage of my time working in isolation on BAU tasks and projects, but I especially enjoy how the teams I have had the privilege of working with come together in times of crisis to quickly and effectively resolve major incidents. I am proud to have reached a senior level at most of the companies I have worked for and have used that position to inspire and assist junior members of the team to improve their troubleshooting skills and make them more confident and competent engineers.
