About Travis Tasker
I am passionate about serving others and making people’s lives better through education. As a youth, I decided that education is the area that I can make the biggest impact for good in this world, “If you teach others to fish, you feed for a lifetime..." My niche in education for the last 22 years has been, providing innovative technology tools in the classroom environment and using those tools to teach. In short, I am passionate about serving and teaching to make other's lives better. I am the Director of Audio-Visual Services & Engineering (AVSE), a support and engineering department at Utah Valley University (UVU). AVSE specializes in the integration and support of classroom and teaching technologies. AVSE supports 500+ classroom/conference room systems, as well as other campus-wide systems such as digital signage 150+ displays and video surveillance 1200+ cameras. AVSE is also over technology staging for events across campus where they set up and support thousands of events a year. Events range from theatrical productions to outdoor events.
