Job responsibilities included estimating, takeoff, subcontractor coordination and bid-package scope directives. Worked with multiple project delivery methods including CM-at-risk, design-bid-build, and design-build. The ability to check plans and specifications against the architect's intent and construction budget were essential to this position.

On-call designer. Worked on several restaurants in various stages of completion.

I worked for RQ Construction for two summers where I gained experience in the design-build world. My responsibilities there included working on detail design, LEED implementation, as-built drawings, proposal diagrams, and the creation and organization of a material library. RQ Construction is a full service contracting and design firm that specializes in design/build projects for both public and private clients, with a primary focus on the Department of Defense. RQ’s experience includes projects throughout the nation including California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and North Carolina.

Co-op internship conducted with Cal Poly. Developed diagrams and created publication pieces for completed projects and AIA awards.
