Director of entire department inclusive of Patient Services, Culinary Team, Clinical RD Team, and Retail Operations. Directed team of 5 Associate Director’s, 20 Managers, and a staff of over 350 FTE’s. Operations included all nutritional and retail support of the 950 bed UNC Medical Center, Hillsborough Hospital Nutrition and Food Services Department, and retail operations at UNC Think Place Office Park in Morrisville, NC. Significant achievements during my role as director included but were not limited to:• Opening and launching food service operations at Hillsborough Hospital• Centralizing the room service call center (added support to cover Hillsborough Hospital, Chatham Hospital and UNC Chatham Hospice)• Redesign of Restaurant Delivery Room Service Menu • Planned and implemented pilot for online patient ordering• Planned and opened new retail café at UNC Think Place Office Park

Managed complete operations within the Patient Food Services area with the Patient Services Manager and Call Center (Diet Office) Manager directly reporting to me. A significant success in this role included being a primary project developer and team lead in the initiation of the Restaurant Delivery room service program. This included menu development, menu system builds in Competition, and establishing operational flow within my team. Program implementation resulted in an increase in patient satisfaction scores by 20%ile points which placed the scores above the 90th%ile.

Managed front line Patient Services team inclusive of Diet Office. Team included 6 Supervisors and 70 FTE’s. Role also encompassed being the primary Administrator of Computrition Diet Office System. A noteworthy accomplishment in this role was serving as a key project manager in the transition to a pod assembly style production line inclusive of utilizing bedside menu entry with patients.

Managed all procurement of goods and supplies for the Nutrition and Food Service Department. Included patient meals, retail operations and bulk nourishment supplies. A significant accomplishment in this management role was completely reorganizing the entire receiving area for better efficiency and improvement in inventory control.

Supervised Nutrition and Food Services Patient Services team tasked with accurately assembling and distributing patient trays with great customer service throughout UNC Medical Center. I assisted as a primary operational support supervisor for a complete kitchen renovation during this timeframe.

Managed front of the house operations at primary campus dining hall at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Operational responsibilities included staff management of 40 FTE’s to support 7 different “food court” style venues. Dining hall sustained great customer service scores amongst the student population.
