Designed and implemented optimization algorithms in the C++ library Chroma to accelerate the convergence of multilevel Monte Carlo for lattice Quantum Chromodynamics calculations. Integratedthis technique into HPC C++ library Chroma using STL and Boost libraries. Performed debugging and testing using gdb and Valgrind. Demonstrated the technique resulted in a 5x gain of performance over conventional methods.Optimized parallel HPC C++ multigrid software used for solving large scale systems of linear equations, resulting in 8x gain of performance in multilevel Monte Carlo simulations.Drafted reports for grant milestones, technical documents to be published in peer reviewed journals and disseminated results at professional conferences.
