Responsible for overseeing the phlebotomy department and managing a team of phlebotomists working in the Guy's and and St Thomas Trust locations. This role will include overseeing, creating and reviewing all documents on Q-pulse and ensuring that staff are acknowledging them in. Understanding and knowledge of Quality & Health and Safety policies and procedures. Quality Lead investigates all incidents, complaints, compliments and errors that occur in the department and records this for reporting to senior management. Phlebotomy Team Manager - Quality lead is responsible for ensuring all staff in Phlebotomy are fully competent in phlebotomy techniques and review these on a regularly basis. The line management of staff includes addressing and managing any sickness, appraisals, coordinating rotas with Annual Leave allowances, recruitment and other HR processes.Was also required to work alongside medical and nursing staff and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role will require you to work in a multitude of locations ranging from wards, outpatients, clinics and community services.

To oversee the phlebotomy service that collects blood samples from inpatients, outpatients and patients referred to the hospital by their General Practitioner or Consultant, within all of our sites. Organise staffing across different wards, departments and clinics. Act as the first point of contact for any phlebotomy issues being escalated within the department from staff, patients and medical staff.

To collect blood samples from inpatients, outpatients and patients referred to the hospital for blood tests by their Consultant or General Practitioner, within all our sites located within Southwark and Lambeth. Sites include, inpatient wards and outpatient departments, hospital clinics and Cancer Centres. Bloods collected from patients via venepuncture and from PICC lines.

Employed as a heacy machinery operator, driving haul trucks contracted to quarries by Mcnae's Contracting. Other duties included workshop support, parts pick up and delivery, workshop maintanence and vehicle detailing.
