By establishing an objective, iterative process to evaluate drug threat by state each year (with input from state and federal subject matter experts), this model prevented program closure and added $130M in budgeted funds.- Wrote the National Guard Counterdrug Program strategic plan. Defined performance metrics and created reporting processes to provide detailed information to the National Guard Bureau, DOD, and Congress.- Managed funding and policy for a $218M joint counterdrug program with 2,400+ full-time Soldiers and Airmen in 54 programs nationwide. Through strategic and hands-on leadership, achieved a 99.9% execution rate while assisting law enforcement in removing $45.5B in drugs from our nation’s streets.- Streamlined the annual state staffing process, increasing productivity 20% by working from the top down: the process begins at the state Attorney General’s and Governor’s offices, passes through the National Guard Bureau and DOD, and is ultimately approved and signed by the Secretary of Defense.
