👋 HI, I’m Travis Allen, CEO of ProSolve and Co-President of the Human Intelligence MovementThe workforce is in the midst of a huge transition where the need was literate, obedient workers, to now adaptable, empathetic, and self-motivated workers. My life goal, since I was 17, has been focused on helping the educational industry work towards redefining its purpose and definition of success. To inspire an end destination that prepares students for a post-AI workforce. Who am I?🧠 A Human-centered Futurist: The future is humanIn a world of AI technology expanding, the future must be human-centered. If we as humans are to stay relevant, we have to ask the question of what makes us uniquely human and how do we build workforce that fosters these unique traits that AI cannot replace. We currently have an education system that is rooted in building knowledge and skills that can and will be replaced by AI. 👨‍👧‍👦 A Parent: Be less helpfulAs a father of 4 young children, my goal is to see each of them find purpose and meaningful human connection. In many ways, these two things will continue to become harder to achieve as AI replaces so much of how we work and is even replacing our ability to connect with others. To help my kids do this, I want them to learn to fail, to adapt, to appreciate, to be kind, and to think for themselves. They cannot learn these things if we as a society continue to do all the thinking for them. 🎮 A Gamer: Learning, ExperiencedI have grown up playing games all my life. Board games. Video games. Made-up games. Sports. What they all have in common is the theme of play and how they simulate real-world problems. I believe the only true way to learn something is to experience it. I envision an education system that redefines how to prepare students by: first, building curiosity, second, Simulates real-world problems, and finally, measuring students by how well they apply it to their real world. 🎙 A Speaker and Advocate: To share stories is to be human I don’t have all the answers but AI continues to have an infinite supply of answers. I believe there is no definitive “right” or “wrong” answer until you have decided on a destination. My goal in working with audiences is to inspire a new destination.
