I currently work at Uzabase Sri Lanka where I am a part of the SPEEDA Edge team which provides sector intelligence & insights on emerging technologies & Industries. I currently lead the customized research function of the SPEEDA Edge platform where I coordinate and conduct research covering a variety of emerging industry. I specialize in emerging technologies in the areas of Marketing & Sales and Smart cities In my previous roles, I was a Product Head at Frontier Research where I managed at different times the News Curation team and Sector research team. Previously I was part of Frontier Research’s new startup venture “Frontier i” and was instrumental in creating and implementing Time Twister; a curated local newsletter product specializing in Economic and Finance news which has been well received by top executives and institutions.I have also worked as a Financial and Economic Analyst at Asia Wealth Management; a part of the Asia Capital GroupApart from my work at Uzabase I have a passion for learning and lecturing. Currently I am a visiting lecturer for the Undergraduate programs of the University of London (UOLIP) conducted by Royal Institute Colombo. I am also part of the lecture panel of the ACCA and CFA exam preparatory sessions conducted at Icon Business School. I also provide online Tutoring as part of the online team of Tutors at 'The Profs:' A top-rated UK based student tutoring service.I am particularly passionate about improving the academic culture in Sri Lanka through my lecturing activities and on the use of new technology on improving the learning experience for students. I am also a Director of CFA Society Sri Lanka and Chair the Candidate Council; an initiative by the CFA Society Sri Lanka for helping Candidates of the CFA program to better prepare for the examinations as well as for fostering closer relationships between CFA Candidates and Charterholders.
