The 49er Shops is a large part of Cal State Long Beach, as it is responsible for the bookstore and all the convenience stores on campus. I supervise the convenience stores, leading the workers and maintaining complete awareness of the stores to make sure everything is running smoothly and efficiently. My job duties as Supervisor of the 49er Shops Convenience stores include:- Managing the store- Managing the workers- Customer service- Leadership- Money handling- Cashiering- Communications- Securely closing the storesThrough the company I also took the 49ers Shops Leadership Training Program. 8, 3-hour modules. Leadership course designed to cultivate and enhance the leadership skills of participants. Topics included: - Leading at the 49ers Shops- Financial Management - Communicating Effectively - Leadership and Followership - Motivating Employees- The Coaching Conversation- Employee Relations
