All my life I've had a passion for video games and computers, and even when I was young would think of ideas for games I would make if I was able. My parents graciously paid for me to go to ID: Tech camp one summer, where for the first time I was finally able to make a game of my own. In all honestly it was pretty rough, and to be fair not very good, but I loved the feeling of creating a project that I could show to other people. Ever since then, and as I've learned more about programming, I've constantly been experimenting with making more games of my own, with better quality each time as I learn more. I find a lot of enjoyment in making games, whether that be doing personal programming experiments by making a prototype similar to one of my favorite games, or making larger projects either by myself of with other people. Even though I'm a student, currently I'm working on 3-4 different game projects in my personal time. But even though I love making video games, it's not something I've entirely locked myself into doing. I think by itself, art and entertainment are incredibly valuable things, but there are definitely also bigger problems in the world. I'm still not sure at this point in my life what I'll end up doing, but I hope more than anything I can use my skills and love of programming to do something important.
