I am proud to say that I grew up in the Barbecue township of western Harnett County and, over the years, I've watched this area flourish with a healthy influx of people from many backgrounds. It only stands to get better, and that's good for everyone - especially families.A lot of home buyers understandably want to know about the schools here in Harnett County. I'm a product of the education system here, which prepared me well for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and, ultimately, East Carolina University, which is known nationally for its Construction Management curriculum. I earned my bachelor's degree in that program in 2001 and have worked in the construction and real estate fields ever since. But my exposure to home building really began in my youth. My late father was a builder, too, and I learned so much from him about quality, integrity and honesty. I have built a wide variety of structures - from residential to commercial - and I've worked closely with military families with on base housing at Fort Bragg. As a real estate agent, I've also assisted soldiers and their families with buying or selling their homes throughout our region.
