I managed all North American mobile units and scan guns, including creating and managing software packages, settings, and overall behavior. My scope of responsibilities included 8 current applications and several custom-written scripts for synchronizing time, managing software, and loading devices. I provided direct support to all Gerdau Long Steel North America (GLN) mill technicians and users.Additionally, I managed the GLN Motorola Mobility Services Platform (MSP) server, which handled all management of the scan guns and their software. I also managed all packages and their associated policies as they applied to the handhelds and their respective sites, such as mills and downstream operations.I also set up, configured, and managed the GLN division's Motorola Air Defense Service Platform (ADSP), providing support and management of access points throughout North America. Furthermore, I played a key role in designing, installing, and managing the contractor safety tracking system for the Cartersville Mill. In this role, I managed Amag-Symmetry and was the primary support for the system, including all external functions.Furthermore, I was responsible for the management of the VMWare infrastructure, including servers and High Availability.
