I am an experienced AEC professional with nearly a decade of proficiency with geotechnical and drilling processes and procedures.In my current role as a Geotechnical Field Coordinator, I prepare and coordinate field testing schedules and subcontractors, specifically scheduling layout borings and test pits conducted by both conventional surveying and Global Positioning Systems (GPS), observing and classifying test pits and soils, performing hand auger borings, DCP testing, soil logging, and other geotechnical fieldwork.I am a professional communicator and maintain relationships and correspondence with contractors, project managers, colleagues, leadership, and clients. With my expertise, I am able to anticipate and troubleshoot issues as they arise.I provide support to other departments when needed by assisting with the reduction and analysis of GPS data for utilization and production, calculations, and data reduction of test results.I assist in managing and maintaining inventory of all department supplies and equipment within our own storage space.I have trained staff across the country on field testing and sampling techniques, data reduction, and data interpretation.I previously served as a Lead Estimator for a large Design Build firm in the area and gained invaluable experience with permits, project management, scope, and the interpretation of drawings and plans. I conducted site visits, coordinated with colleagues and contractors, maintained all necessary permits and access for our team, and ensured compliance and safety at all levels.I have held other titles and worked in other industries throughout my life, including sales, animal care, and automotive work. I maintain many of these interests as hobbies but most enjoy spending time with my family (my wife and our son).I have earned my FAA Part 107 UAS Pilot license to supplement my career by also doing something I enjoy. I am exploring geophysical drone mapping and enhancing my photography expertise on a commercial level.
